Happy Yoga Thursday! This week I bring you another hour long class (okay.. so it’s actually only 53 minutes, but close enough!) that focuses on developing spine flexibility and strength. This is an intermediate practice with an extra long savasana at the end and no music throughout the class, which is something that’s been requested by a lot of people lately!

Backbends used to be really challenging for me because the truth is, it’s a full body motion that requires so much more than flexibility in your spine. We will engage our core, open up the shoulders and hip flexors and play with poses like dancer, bow, tiger, wild thing and warriors!

  3. Thank you for another great class. Back bends are not my strong suit since I have scoliosis, but your instruction methods are so easy to follow that I am able to tweak the poses just a bit if necessary. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more of your excellent videos!!

  10. Really great instruction. You do a really great job breaking everything down in a way that is so helpful for those of us new to Yoga. Very glad to have discovered your channel. I'm finding positions that require/involve hip flexibility to be particularly challenging and continue to struggle with fluid sweeps with the leg. Any suggestions on videos you have here geared towards beginners that have an emphasis on improving hip and leg flexibility. I'm trying to improve my flexibility for a sport. Thanks!
